COMMUNITY RULES

Friendly, lively
and drama-free.

Read these rules before joining an event. They protect the equal, respectful and member-led community we are building together.

Clear rules.
Good company.

Respect, equality and personal responsibility apply to every member.

Admins act when needed to maintain order, stop disruption and protect the atmosphere of the community.

📍 01

Respect & Civility

Treat others with respect and show common decency at all events. We have no issue removing people who cannot behave in a civil manner.

📍 02

Solutions, Not Problems

If there is an issue, raise it in a positive, solution-oriented and constructive manner.

📍 03

Follow the Law

All events and discussions must comply with Norwegian law. We do not support illegal activity.

📍 04

Name or Nickname

Use a name or nickname so other members know how to address you. An emoji alone is not acceptable.

📍 05

Profile Picture

A WhatsApp profile picture is mandatory and must not be left blank. Choose a picture that feels like you.

📍 06

Egalitarian Principle — Core Rule

All members are equal. The same rules and standards apply to everyone without exception.

📍 07

Admin Authority

Admins will intervene immediately when needed to maintain order or stop disruption. Admin decisions are final and are not subject to discussion.

📍 08

Conduct

Clear harassment, threats and obvious personal attacks are violations. Other communication is allowed and is not actively moderated.

📍 09

About Events

Every community member can join or create an event. Hosts set the plan, rules, structure and capacity for the events they organise.

HOW TO CREATE AN EVENT

The host makes
the final call.

Every community member can join or create an event.

The host sets the plan, rules, structure and number of attendees for their events. Getting on a waiting list does not mean discrimination or exclusion. All suggestions are welcome, but the last word sits with the host.

Events are organised for free, and people invest their time to make them happen. These events are meant to be fun, lively and drama-free.

HOW SIGNING UP WORKS

Use the colour
system.

You do not need to respond to every event that appears. These rules only apply when you sign up for an event that you would like to participate in.

Event makers must use 🟡, 🟢 or 🔵 when creating an event. The meaning of each symbol is explained here.

Yellow Event

If you cannot make it that day or have changed your mind, notify the event host at least two hours before the event starts.

Failing to notify the host two hours in advance might lead to a permanent ban.

Emergency situations are, of course, an exception to the rule.

The “Maybe” option on Yellow Events will be seen as a “No” or a “waiting list” response, depending on the specific event.

Green Event

Come and go as you please. There is no need to notify the host, but it is nice if you do.

Blue Event

Information-only event. It is not hosted by the person sharing it.

EVENTS USING SOCIAL! PASS TICKETS

Tickets make
attendance clearer.

Some hosts may choose to use Social! Pass tickets for their event.

Tickets help hosts get a more reliable picture of attendance and give members a clear way to reserve, cancel and check in.

When an event uses Pass tickets, additional attendance rules apply.

🟢 PASS TICKETS

Green + Social! Pass

Green remains flexible. You can arrive throughout the event.

If you can no longer attend, cancel your ticket before the event starts.

Cancelling after the deadline counts as a no-show.

No-show → 1 strike + 7-day Pass restriction.

Can’t make it? Cancel before the event starts.

🟡 PASS TICKETS

Yellow + Social! Pass

Yellow has a set arrival expectation. If you reserve a ticket, you are committing to attend according to the event’s attendance and cancellation rules.

If you can no longer attend, cancel your ticket at least 2 hours before the event starts.

Cancelling after the deadline counts as a no-show.

No-show → 1 strike + 1-month Pass restriction.

Can’t make it? Cancel at least 2 hours before the event starts.

⚠️ SHARED COUNT

3 Strikes

Green and Yellow Pass no-show strikes share the same strike count.

3 no-show strikes in any combination result in an indefinite Pass restriction.

Admins retain the ability to correct mistakes and override restrictions where appropriate.

💬 COMMUNITY EVENTS

Events without Pass tickets

Not every Social! event uses Pass tickets. Events without Pass tickets continue to follow the existing Green / Yellow / Blue rules above.

The automatic check-in, strike and Pass restriction rules apply only when an event uses Social! Pass tickets.

This is independent of where the event is promoted. For example, an event shared through WhatsApp can use a Social! Pass ticket, while another WhatsApp event may not.
